De Yun She 2026 World Tour

In 2026, De Yun She marks its 30th anniversary. This is not only a look back at 30 years of persistence and inheritance, but also a brand-new start for xiangsheng (crosstalk), a traditional art form that has completed self-innovation.

Xiangsheng, a traditional Chinese folk art rooted in the Chinese language context, mainly features two performers engaging in witty dialogue. It delivers Chinese humor through rapid and humorous banter, puns, allusions and imitations, with a history dating back to the Ming Dynasty, making it an art form that combines fun and cultural heritage.

As a leader in the revival of xiangsheng, Guo Degang, a disciple of the renowned xiangsheng artist Hou Yaowen, has revitalized traditional xiangsheng through persistence and innovation over the past 30 years. He founded De Yun She, promoting xiangsheng from small theaters to the public and from China to the world. He has led the team to perform at world-famous venues, with footprints across the United States, Canada, Germany, Japan, Singapore and other countries, becoming an iconic figure in the international promotion of Chinese xiangsheng.

Starting from April 2026, Guo Degang and Yu Qian will embark on the 2026 Crosstalk World Tour with 30 years of stage experience, spanning six continents and connecting the East and the West. They will bring Chinese humor and xiangsheng, rooted in the Chinese language, to a broader world stage, soothe overseas Chinese, build cultural resonance, and allow audiences from different languages and cultural backgrounds to jointly experience the on-site charm and artistic power of xiangsheng.

Standing firm at 30, forging ahead into a new journey. Thirty years of accumulation have turned into steps traveling around the world, allowing Chinese xiangsheng to be heard, understood and remembered on the world stage.
