ARRIVAL
Dolby Theatre typically opens to the public one hour prior to the performance. It's a good idea to get here at least 45 minutes early. Traffic in Hollywood can be heavy on show days, so make sure to give yourself enough time to arrive, park, use the restroom and purchase concessions before the event.
ANIMALS
Only service animals are permitted at Dolby Theatre. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) defines a service animal as any dog, such as a guide dog or signal dog that is individually trained to aid an individual with a disability. CELL PHONE
The Dolby Theatre asks that you turn off or silence all electronic devices during the performance.
CAMERA GUIDELINES
Please be aware that photography and video recording are prohibited inside the theatre for most events. When permitted, only small, point-and-shoot cameras that fit in a front pants pocket are allowed; professional cameras, detachable lenses, tripods, monopods, and recording devices are prohibited. Meta smart glasses and other wearable recording devices are subject to approval by venue management. Some artists and tours may have specific policies that ban these devices during their events.
LOUD TALKING & DISRUPTIONS DURING PERFORMANCES
Disruptions are not tolerated. If anyone disturbs the audience or interferes with the performance, patrons will be subject to ejection without refund.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Patrons are responsible for their own conduct. Venue staff strive to maintain an atmosphere where all in attendance can enjoy the event. Patrons exhibiting disruptive behavior may be subject to ejection, arrest, and/or loss of ticket privileges for future events. If the behavior of a patron around you becomes disruptive, the incident should be reported to the nearest usher or security person immediately.
DRESS CODE
The Dolby Theatre does not enforce a formal dress code, so feel free to wear what makes you comfortable, however shirts and shoes are mandatory. Please be aware that chains and spiked jewelry are prohibited within the theatre. If you're uncertain, business casual attire is always a suitable choice.
CHILDREN
All patrons entering the theatre, including babies in arms, must have a ticket. Please carefully consider whether a performance is appropriate for your child before planning to attend. Also, disruptive patrons, including children, will not be allowed to remain in the theatre. Be considerate of others in the audience and of your child’s comfort. Guests aged 15 and older may attend a show unchaperoned. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult (Event Permitting).
AGE RESTRICTIONS
Events have age restrictions that may differ from show to show, so please refer to each shows’ event page for age restrictions that may apply. All ages shows or concerts require a ticket for everyone, including infants. Every attendee, regardless of age, must have a valid ticket to enter.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
Bars are situated in every lobby of the Dolby Theatre, offering a selection of soft drinks, mixed drinks, wine, and beer for purchase. Patrons can also find a variety of menu items, including popcorn, candy, sandwiches, and cheese & crackers. Food & beverage is permitted inside the theatre during most events. Dolby Theatre is proud to partner with Wolfgang Puck Catering as its exclusive food & beverage provider. Outside food & beverage, including water, is not permitted.
LATE SEATING
Late seating is at the discretion of the House Manager, and it might not be available for every event. If you arrive after the performance has begun or exit the chamber during a show, ushers will assist you in finding a seat at the earliest suitable moment, usually at the end of a scene or musical number. We ask that you respect the performance and other patrons, if you must leave early, please do so at a moment that causes the least disruption, such as during applause.
Please note that lobby lights will begin to flash 10 minutes before the performance begins.
SECURITY
Bag checks are regularly conducted, and any guest attempting to enter the facility with prohibited items will be asked to return that item to their vehicle.

- Strollers in Seated Areas (Strollers are permitted in the venue but must be checked at Coat Check on Lobby 2)
- Professional Photography Equipment
- Tripods, Monopods, Selfie Sticks
- Poles/Sticks to Display Banners
- Signs, Large Posters or Flags.
- Unapproved Pamphlets, Fliers, Handbills
- Weapons of Any Kind (pocketknife, pepper spray, stun gun, etc.)
- Animals/Pets (except service animals)

SMOKING
Smoking (including electronic devices) is strictly prohibited anywhere inside Dolby Theatre.
LOST & FOUND
Items considered “lost & found” will be kept secured in our security office for up to 30 days. If you have lost an item at Dolby Theatre, please call 323-308-6344.
COAT CHECK
A complimentary coat check is available on Lobby 2 of the theatre. Please note that backpacks and other large bags are not permitted into the theatre.
BAG POLICY
Large bags and purses are not permitted inside the venue. Any bags larger than 12” x 12” x 6” will need to be checked in at our Coat Check located in Lobby 2. Please ensure your bags comply with these size restrictions to avoid any inconvenience.
RESTROOMS
Men’s & women’s restrooms are available on every lobby level of the theatre. Gender neutral restrooms are available on Lobby 1.
EMERGENCY CONTACT
Patrons cannot be paged during a performance, but the House Manager will personally contact a seated patron in the event of an emergency when a seat location is provided.
FIRST AID
A medic is onsite for all public events and can be found on Lobby 1.
